Release Notes for VoiceXML Interpreter (VXI)
Release 1.4
This is third open source release and should be considered Alpha-quality.
Currently unit testing of API implementations is underway. However, thorough
QA of VoiceXML functionality has only begun. We expect a fair number of
minor bugs to be found and fixed in the next few weeks. An updated release
is planned.
Also anticipated in the next release is support for late binding of
API implementations.
VXI Known Bugs (and missing functionality)
-
Dialog grammars in application and portal documents are not being properly
enabled; <link> grammars work properly.
-
Interaction of subdialog with application and portal docs unclear.
-
<record> element, while implemented, current masked with 'unsupported'
event. This problem here being lack of JavaScript support for the returned
audio value.
- DTMF attributes in the choice tag do not support letters. Also
the DTMF numbering cannot use both the default and a fixed numbering
scheme for some choices. This could potentially lead to numbering
clashes and is not currently supported.
Fixed in release 1.4
- Various documentation issues in build.html for NSPR.
- Fixed compilation of filelog_null.cpp and ExeCont.cpp on Linux.
- Fixed the level -W3 warnings generated by the VXI during compilation
- Fixed compilation problems on Linux.
Reference Integration and Clients
Currently, the reference platform API's have minimal functionality and
are mainly useful for intgration reference and our internal QA.
