Blizzard Challenge 2006
|
For the first three (3) tests, after you listen to the sentence, you will choose a score for the audio file you've just heard. This score should reflect your opinion of how good or bad the sentence sounded. Note that you should not judge the grammar or content of the sentence, just how it sounds. There are no "right" or "wrong" answers because you are merely asked to give your opinion.
For the final two (2) tests, you will again listen to a sentence. Instead of assigning a score, you are asked to enter the text of the sentence that you just heard. In these tests, we just wish to determine whether or not the words were understandable. Again, do not be concerned about "right" or "wrong" answers since we just want to know your opinion of the words that you heard. Note that these sentences may not make sense, but please try to enter all of the words you hear.
After you have completed all of the tests, you will be directed to a feedback questionnaire. This will give you an opportunity to tell us what you thought of this study. We would also like to gather some relevant demographic information, but please note that all questions in the feedback questionnaire are optional.
This is a research study. Your participation is fully voluntary and anonymous. Any presentation of the data obtained in this study will be in anonymous aggregate form. Your email address will not be used except to keep track of where you are in the tests so you can return to the same position later should you require more than one session to complete the tests. Once the study has ended, any record of the email address you provided will be destroyed.
Enter your email address below to register as a participant in the 2006 Blizzard Challenge. You only need to register once. If you have already registered, please log in instead.
